Overview
Trumpet in Hagen Practice Room, Walker 212, MEEM Anechoic Chamber, MEEM Reverberant Chamber, McArdle Theatre, Walker 210:
A trumpet was played around the perimeter of each of these rooms on Michigan Technological Universities Campus: The Hagen Practice Room, Walker 212, and MEEM Anechoic Chamber. An Earthworks M50 on a stand about 5′-5″ off the ground pointed at the ceiling was placed in the center of each room to capture the sound of the room while the trumpet was played.

Hagen Practice Room:
Mic was placed in the center of the room, and the trumpet was played up against the wall. The door was closed. An Apogee Duet was used for the microphone preamp.
Walker 212:
Mic was placed at the mix position in this room due to the chalkboard being at the center of the room. The trumpet was played at the back of the room. The door was closed. An Apogee Duet was used for the microphone preamp.
MEEM Anechoic Chamber:
Mic was placed in the center of the room, and the trumpet was played in a corner. The door was closed. A Zoom H5 was used for the microphone preamp.
MEEM Reverberant Chamber:
Mic was placed in the center of the room, and the trumpet was played up against the wall. The door was closed. A Zoom H5 was used for the microphone preamp.
McArdle Theatre:
Mic was placed in the center of the room, and the trumpet was played up against the wall. The door was closed. An Apogee Duet was used for the microphone preamp.
Walker 210:
Mic was placed in the center of the room, and the trumpet was played up against the wall. The door was closed. An Apogee Duet was used for the microphone preamp.
